A Lidl Bit of Goodness

Just excuse me a second whilst I stop chuckling at my witty pun of a title there....*cough, here we go.... I made an impromptu stop off at Lidl yesterday, cheating on my beloved Aldi for my cheap goodness. I was perusing around and I spotted this Cien Olive Oil Moisturising Cream for £1.99.
Whenever I see the brand name Cien it always makes me think of the french word for 'dog' so always puts me off slightly. But I thought this looked pretty interesting anyway, I needed a new moisturiser and with the fact this was helping to prevent the premature signs of ageing, I made the purchase.
I've used it at as a base for my foundation today and I've got to say I LOVE IT. It's left my complexion so dewy and fresh looking all day and my skin feels incredibly soft. It hasn't broken me out in spots (granted it's the first day of use but it usual erupts a few by now if it's gonna happen) I was concerned the olive oil element would be too heavy for my spot prone skin, but it seems fine! Well worth the money I'd say.
The second thing I spotted was the 'Suddenly Madame Glamour' perfume. My friend actually pointed it out saying it was a dupe of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, I'm not going to lie I've not even spelt the Chanel perfume and this smelt a little like old woman to me at first. But, second day in and it's totally grown on me. It's a more mature scent than I usually go for. I like light, fruity smells. But this lasts all day and has a really lovely scent once it's settled. And it costs £3.99! Bargain for a perfume really, I've paid more for ones that just smell of rat piss. I know it's done the rounds on the blogs a few weeks a go, so sorry if I'm a bit behind the times with that one!

Copella Pink Apple Lemonade

I'm not actually sure if this is a *new* product or not, but it's certainly new to me. Copella are renowned for their apple juices, they always remind me of actual apple pie. So when I spotted this little twist on the classic plain apple variety I just had to try it; it looked ideal for this ridiculously sunny weather we're having lately.
I quite like pink lemonade as a whole, I think it's one of those drinks everyone tends to forget about but then when they rediscover it they're like 'wooaaah pink lemonade is the best!' (well, that's what I do anyway) it generally comes in a few varieties which tend to be a fizzy version, in flavours like raspberry or cranberry, y'know, usually red fruits to provide the pinkness. So an apple pink lemonade is a little bit odd, but the pink comes from the raspberries which are included in the ingredients.
The drink is best served ice cold, it's so tart and tangy it's a little too sweet to stomach at room temperature. If you're thinking 'well, duh, it's a chilled juice drink' you're right. I just forgot to put it in the fridge when I got home then remembered to try it. It's a nice twist for a summer day but it's just a little too tangy for my taste buds I'm afraid. It's literally like sucking a lemon to me! Although a rather pleasant flavour over all I will play it safe and stick to my favourite from the Copella line in the form of Apple and Elderflower in future.

iFabbo UK Conference & Goody Bag

I'm going to start off by apologising that I did not obtain very many pictures from the actual iFabbo event I attended over the weekend! I am a bad bad blogger. My excuse is that as I went via Birmingham with the super amazing Tereza from Cityscape Bliss (Czech her out! Get it?!) I was already stumbling around London like a pack horse with my over filled ruck sack containing way too many spare clothes and make up, so had no room left for my real camera. I've pilfered an image or two from the iFabbo Facebook Page though so you don't get too bored with ALL THE WRITING.
The event was held in the gorgeous Kettners in Soho, it's a super chic bar with an absolutely lovely interior. They set us up in rows so we could see the speakers at the front of the room. There were 4 panels at the conference all covered different elements of blogging and how to improve your bloggy self by working with PR's and developing good content and relations, amongst other topics. I am not going to reveal every bit of advice they told us though, as the advice was precious and I'm not that much of a caring, sharing type! You just need to know that the next event they do, you'd better hustle your ass down there, events like this are worth attending as even though one can be pretty socially inept it is a great opportunity to throw yourself in at the deep end and mingle with some amazing people. You're basically in a room with people who all have the same interest as you alongside industry experts that are there to help YOU and give you guidance and advice. It's also great to put faces to names of the people you have been exchanging tweets with for such a long time!
Just like any event of this calibre there was the obligatory food and cocktails. The food, I didn't sample that much of, but the cocktails, wow. Pink Grapefruit flavour beverages are my favourite, so I did help myself to about 4 of them bad boys. It was also SWELTERING hot in the venue, which was pretty much to be expected as the weather was just so gorgeous this weekend!
There was also some standard shots of ourselves in one of the massive mirrors at the venue, this image is courtesy of Tereza who seems to be hiding that wonderful face of hers. You can see a proper picture and info about the outfit I wore here.
And the mega treat of the day came when I won these Dior Sunglasses from Motilo. I really was not expecting to get a goody bag (due to a last minute ticket) never mind win these! I felt so lucky!! (especially when I googled the price!) So thank you iFabbo for organising the event and Motilo for choosing me as the winner, endlessly grateful would sum it up!
So, as I mentioned, due to my last minute un-organisation I wasn't even expecting to get a goody bag at the event. Luckily though they had one spare, the only thing missing was the fake tan which I could of desperately done with as I feel extra pasty when it's sunny and everyone else has their tanned luscious legs out. Never the less. I still got an amazing little haul.
The Miracle Skin Transformer Glow Enhancer is my all time favourite thing ever (from the bag, at the moment in time) I didn't take any sun cream with me to London and clearly with my pastiness it is something I NEED. I used my initiative though and slathered myself in this. It's SPF 20 and gave my skin such a lovely glowy/dewy finish! Amazing.
One thing I probably wont use from the bag is these 3D nails. They're not my taste at all. But I might do a sneaky little give away with them alongside some other stuff soon. They're really Lolita style and I can imagine they will be loved very much if they find the right home.
So keep your eyes peeled for a give away soon!
And finally, here are some people I met at iFabbo you should have a little looky at
Carrie from Not Just Skin Deep
Becca from BDP World
Mona from Chipped and Chapped
Daisy at Pretty Green Tea
and I mentioned Tereza right? Cityscape Bliss

Sainsbury's 'Bolt' Energy Drinks

I know what you're thinking 'Wow Terri Lowe, you drink a lot of energy drinks, how do you still have teeth and not have diabetes?!' but I can assure you, I do not drink anywhere near the amount that this blog implies! I just like new stuff and energy drink flavours seems to be booming at the moment. I hadn't yet noticed a Cherry and Blackcurrant or Strawberry & Kiwi variety, until now.
I must have walked past these several times and completely dismissed them as just being the regular home brand energy drinks that supermarkets do. The only reason I stopped to look was because I noticed the price was 50p. 50p for a home brand energy drink?! That to me sounded a bit much as Tesco sells them for 25p (last time I checked anyway) so I stopped and I looked and then I noticed the flavours....
The Cherry & Blackcurrant is a bit like a fruits of the forest gateaux but in a can. It's a bit heavy and would be very sickly if it were any bigger in serving size. It was just right, probably not the best flavour for an energy drink in my opinion but I can see what they tried to do!
The Strawberry and Kiwi one was slightly more refreshing but you could just TASTE is was low calorie unlike the Cherry and Blackcurrant one. I have a very strong disdain for anything low calorie, I find them to have something missing (mainly the calories, I know) but there's always something not quite right with the flavour. You always need to add extra seasoning if it's food but I'm unsure what I could add to a drink apart from sugar haha. The taste was fairly pleasant in any case. You may think they are a good cheaper alternative to cans of energy drink like Relentless etc, but when you consider these cans are half the size and cost 50p and Relentless is usually on offer for a £1 it ends up costing you about the same price per ml. So in future I'm sorry to say that despite Sainsbo's best attempt I probably won't be buying them again. Boo hoo. Well, unless they release another new flavour then I just have to try it!

iFabbo Outfit

Last week I posted asking for some advice on what outfit I should wear to the iFabbo UK Conference Event. Thanks for all the feedback, you lot are ace! In the end though I didn't wear either of the new tops I purchased to go with my new skirt though! Luckily I left the label on one so might take it back if I get round to it. Instead I played it a bit safer and went for my new favourite top I got a few weeks ago that seems to go with everything.
Yup, I'm posing in the garden for a change. I feel like the caption for this should be, like 'I wandered lonely as a cloud' or something... I had SO many compliments on my new Maxi Skirt. For everyone that's asking (and there's been quite a few of you!) it was from New Look and cost £14.99, bargain right? (I think it's this one on the website) I tried on a pleated jersey one in Primark which was no where near as nice and that would of set me back £12 if I hadn't of found this.
I absolutely LOVE these shoes from Primark and have been eyeing them up for a while. They remind me of Liberty designs and I like the contrast detail. They were so comfy at first but after walking for miles in London and developing quite hot and sweaty feet they resulted in blisters! I'm not going to blame the shoes though as they're too pretty.
I really like blocking colours, although I hate being 'colourful' I do find that a lot of the time I unintentionally clash but (hopefully) manage to pull it off. The top was from TK Maxx and although it cost more than I would of liked (£16) it's paid for itself 10 times over, it's the perfect material for hot sunny days.
I'll finish with a whimsical image of our over grown lawn, I love a good bit of colour saturation, don't you?!

Camden is Great

Ok, this post has a lot more pictures in it than intended, so I'm going to do a little less talking. I've had an amazing weekend in London which included a trip to the first iFabbo UK Conference at a little place called Kettners in Soho, a write up about that is coming in the very near future! But for now get your eyes around the wonder that is Camden. I'm going to be honest, before I went I imagined it to be one massive version of Rowfers - full of goth shit. But apart from the bit that's like a shanty town with stall after stall selling the same stuff, it's AMAZING! I really loved it there! I saw so much stuff I wanted but unfortunately I don't think a bunch of taxidermy animals would have gone down too well on the train home.....

I got told off for taking some of the pictures so I hope you enjoy them! And if you go to London then make sure you go, I was never bothered about it before and my expectations were SO low, but now I think it's my favourite place. I'm from Stoke, things like this excite me. I also got asked several times if people could take pictures of my hair. I really should of asked at the time what they wanted to do with the pictures but I was so surprised and shy I just mumbled 'yeah'....

L'oréal Elvive Reinforcing Treatment

Picked this up from Asda the other day on offer as 2 for £5, I thought it was a good offer as the items I chose were around £4 each including this Triple Resist Reinforcing Treatment, that is basically a leave in conditioner. I got the actual conditioner to match too.
I've always like the Elvive Shampoo and Conditioner that comes in the pink bottle, but I only buy it when it's on offer, it's not that good.I thought this one may be a little better though as it's newer and apparently 3 times as effective....
One thing lowered my expectations was when I read on the bottle that it would make my hair stronger, healthier looking and shinier IF I used the shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment INSTEAD of shampoo alone. It's obvious ANY conditioner will make your hair shinier and feel nicer if you use it aswell as just bog standard shampoo! Really not a selling point for me.
Overall it's a mediocre product at best. I'm glad I didn't spend the full RRP on it but it doesn't make my hair feel horrible or weird. It feels like I've got something in it, but not a heavy feeling. Just like a coating. You can apply it to wet or dry hair and it doesn't build up too much or make your hair look greasy. I will save it to use with my Strawberry Curlers on nights I want to use them and need something to damped my hair a little.

iFabbo Outfit Helllppp

Hello hello hello. I have like, a day to decide what outfit I will be wearing to the iFabbo Blogger convention in London this weekend. This weather totally throws me out of my comfort zone and I literally have no idea what to wear. In Stoke this in fine, but in LANDAN I wanna look a bit more 'trendy' which is hard when you haven't got a clue what's 'in'. For a pseudo Fashion Blogger I'm not exactly a trend follower or setter I'm afraid. Today I had a mini shopping spree and just wondering which of these outfits would be good.... The area's I am most concerned about are my flubber upper arms and my Beyonce ass, which doesn't bode well for this weather. Also ignore my face/hair just got in from work/shopping!
Actually, I think looking at it like this is definitely one of the first two. But I really don't know. I like the look of the 'bralette' thing when I'm standing up but when I'm sitting down my belly kind of pudges out. Will it even be sunny in London at the weekend? Oh I just don't know. The labels are still on everything by the way so let me know! Quickly! Haha. Also is anyone else going? AND is anyone else having trouble with uploading pictures to their blog? It keeps telling me my Picasa account is nearly full but when I go on it it says it isn't?!
Also picked up this amazing beaded collar necklace from Primark for £4! I've been after one for YEARS but I'm too tight to splash out more than a fiver. Collar necklaces are so versatile and can make the most boring outfit instantly look awesome.
